On minimalism. Lombok, Indonesia 1.02.2026.

I’ve been traveling the world constantly for over 15 years. I am creating art which is full of colors, ego & it's very loud. Very direct. In Your face.
Becouse of my creations - I choose that everything else in my life won't be like that. I choose to live with bare minimum, and I can package all my worldly possesions in one luggage and travel the world freely.
It all started back in 2020, when I came across the idea of minimalism for the first time through a blog. I got hooked on the idea of having more- so I could travel more freely! I have remebered those days when I used to carry 3 check-in luggages with me with lifetime worth of clothes and a tattoo studio supply inside. And a backpack. Looking back at it- What a Nightmare traveling heavy like this was it! I wanted to change.
I started digging deeper—going through multiple websites and YouTube videos—and eventually landed on my favorite book ever written: " Goodbye, Things " by Fumio Sasaki. It became my go-to. I reread it a few times every year. I’ll come back to that book later.
Because I’ve been living & tattooing nomadically, with no real home base to return to, the idea of reducing everything down to the bare minimum just made sense. At one point, I had storage units in a few different countries. That didn’t sit right.
So I started cutting.
Between 2021 and 2023, I reduced my possessions to around 15% of what I used to own. Now, in 2026, I want to take it further—push it to the extreme. Goal is to have Ultimate freedom to travel anywhere with peace of mind. Anther goal is to reduce material NEEDS to almost zero. Expieriences over things my fellow readers. If I can totally stop spending on stupid shit- I could save up tons. With saved up cash I buy gold and land only. It's been working.
The best way I’ve found to strip things down is simple: define what’s essential, then eliminate everything else. Make it dissapear. We as a humans, are born with no physical possesions and We die with tons of useless crap.
I hate maintenace. The more things You have- the more You have to look after them, keep them clean, and insure them. That's the trade-off I don't like to pay anymore.
Here’s my current essentials list as of May 2026:
iPhone x2, Whoop, backpack x2, Rimowa luggage x2, iPad, AirPods x2, Rolex x2, Sleep ear plugs , blue light blocking glasses, Buff scarves x2, New Balance 992 (grey) x4, hoodies x2, shorts x5, workout shirts x3, T-shirts x5, jacket, Loro Piana hats x2, passport, wallet, few gold coins, credit + mileage cards, Goodbye, Things (paper copy), tattoo machines x3, few brushes, inks & Needles, small photo album, a few paintings, bicycle, notebook + pen, pin with a steak.
That’s it.
The goal is simple: everything I own fits into one 20kg suitcase by the end of the year. And If i lost it, that should be ok too, becouse all THINGS are replacable ( humans are not) and I don't want to get too attached. I do love my life and i LOVE FREEDOM . Define, what's the biggest value for You, and discard everything else, and I guarantee You'll be more healthy and more happy with few of Your favorite possesions.
And You'll save up tons too fam.
Minimalism is the way.
My all-time favorite philosopher Diogenes of Sinope championed an extreme form of minimalism centered on the belief that true freedom and virtue come from detaching from all non-essential possessions, social status, and artificial desires. He viewed material wealth as a trap and famously demonstrated his commitment to simplicity by living in a tub, owning only a cloak, a staff and a cup.
Seeing a child drinking from his hands, Diogenes threw away his cup and remarked, "A child has beaten me in plainness of living."
